Registers
Register of Human Embryonic Stem Cell Research
The Guidelines for
Using Cells from Established Human Embryonic Stem Cell Lines for Research
require that all approved studies using human embryonic stem cell lines are publicly available on a register in electronic form and hard copy.
To obtain a hard copy of the register, please contact the
National Co-ordinator
. No studies have been approved since the Guidelines were released.
Ethical approval must be sought for each project using a Human Embryonic Stem Cell Line.
However, once a stem cell line has been approved for one research project, an ethics committee does not reconsider issues relating to the origin of that stem cell line for use in another research project.
If you wish to submit an application to use a human embryonic stem cell line, please contact the
National Co-ordinator
for additional application information.
